About Therapy

My Approach

My approach to therapy is psychodynamic. Psychodynamic therapy is an exploratory, insight-oriented type of therapy that allows to understand self better, deeply, making sense of psychological concerns, problematic patterns, and our experiences more in general. Psychodynamic therapy helps with unwanted symptoms, yet it is also a journey of self-exploration and self-discovery that helps to find answers to why we are who we are and feel and behave in the ways that we do. Such experience of getting to know own true self leads to therapeutic gains and changes that are character---and---life---changing and long-lasting.

What to Expect?

Beginning therapy can feel daunting as there are a lot of unknowns. Here is some information about what you may expect.

During our first meeting, we will look at your reasons for seeking therapy and what you would like to achieve from it. I will ask some questions to get a better understanding of your circumstances and how I can help. The first session is a chance for you to meet me, for me to meet you, and for both of us to see if we would like to continue working together. It will also be an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about the process.

If we agree to work together, we will begin therapy in subsequent sessions. We will agree a day and time that suits us both and will be meeting at the same time each week.
